Hole in My Soul — Version 1.0 — Effective April 30, 2026
Hole in My Soul does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All information you enter stays on your device and is never sent to any server, third party, or analytics service. If you opt in to Apple Health integration, your check-ins are written only to your private Health data on-device.
The app stores mood logs, check-in scores, patch session records, and your personal preferences (such as your last selected intent and gear icon color). This data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. It is never uploaded, synced, or backed up to any external server operated by us.
We do not collect any data. Zero. The app contains no analytics SDKs, no crash reporting services, no advertising frameworks, and no server-side components. There is no account creation, no login, and no cloud sync.
The app does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or SDKs that collect user data. The only external asset is the Foundation sponsor logo, which is bundled in the app and loaded locally.
If you choose to enable Apple Health integration, the app may add a mindful minute for a completed check-in and, on supported iOS versions, write mood check-ins to Apple's State of Mind feature. The app may also read a small number of Health metrics on your device, such as sleep, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, and mindful minutes, solely to offer gentle context at the end of a check-in. This reading happens only on your device: we do not receive or transmit that Health data, and it is never stored outside Apple Health. If you choose to enable reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device and are not delivered through any server or push notification service.
You can export your data at any time as a JSON file or a weekly PDF summary from the Settings screen. You can permanently delete all data from within the app using the "Delete All Data" option in Settings. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Since no data is collected from any user, no special provisions are required under COPPA or similar regulations.
If you back up your device using iCloud or a local computer backup, your app data may be included in that backup as part of standard iOS behavior. This is controlled by your device settings, not by our app.
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Since the app collects no data, material changes are unlikely.
